Tesco is recalling one of its chicken products because it may contain an ingredient not mentioned on the label. The supermarket has issued a recall notice for Tesco Stir Fry Tikka Chicken in an alert customers.\

These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the goods. Tesco Stir Fry Tikka Chicken is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg and/or an allergy to mustard.

he recall is due to undeclared egg and mustard in the sauce sachet element of the product which is not mentioned on the label. Instead, return it to any Tesco store for a full refund.

A spokesperson for Tesco said: “We are recalling a specific date code of Tesco Stir Fry Tikka Chicken 650G, due to the presence of egg and mustard in the sauce sachet element of the product.

“Egg and mustard are not mentioned on the product label, which may pose a health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg or mustard.

“If you have purchased the affected date code of the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to egg or mustard, please return it to any Tesco store for a full refund. No receipt is required.
